We are so excited about this new cool feature, first of its kind in Lagos, and we hope you are too. You too can also share to some of the people you think would benefit from this.

Again, another building collapses in Anambra

One person was killed and about 20 others sustained injuries when a three-storey building under construction collapsed at Eziora village, Adazi-Ani in Anaocha local council area of Anambra yesterday.
The building, jointly owned by Mr. Uche Okeke and his five siblings who are children of the transport magnet, Chief GU Okeke, was at the completion stage when it collapsed.
It was gathered that over 25 persons were working on the site when the incident occurred and at the time of filing this report, one person was still trapped under the rubble.

Mayhem in Ekiti: Fayose's Supporter Shot Dead

A former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State and staunch supporter of Mr Ayo Fayose, Mr. Omolafe Aderiye was yesterday evening shot dead by four unknown gunmen at the Ijigbo area of Ado-Ekiti  the state capital.

According to Sahara reporters, Mr Aderiye was  accosted and shot at close range while on his way home after a meeting with the governor elect.  Reports say he was present at the Ekiti state high court yesterday where a Judge was beaten up by pro-Fayose "supporters".

Identity of the Chibok Girl Found Unknown... suspected to be pregnant

The Force Public Relations officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, yesterday September 25th announced that a young girl found at the Mubi area of Borno state on Wednesday September 24th was one of the missing Chibok girls but the National Chairman of the Chibok Association, Dr Pogu Bitrus, is not so sure it's true.

Speaking with TheCable Nigeria, Dr Bitrus, said they are not sure the girl is from their community as her name is not on their list of the missing Chibok girls.

He said a preliminary medical examination conducted in a clinic showed the girl was pregnant but a definitive conclusion on her pregnancy status will be carried out in a proper hospital to confirm.

"I was speaking Kibaku to her but she didn't respond. She was incoherent. She may be having mental issues as result of the trauma. When she was picked up, she was taken to a clinic, not a standard hospital where some test were carried out on her. From the test, it was said she is pregnant but that is still in the speculative domain because a qualified doctor has not confirmed she is pregnant.

However we are still trying to establish if she is from Chibok because from our sources, the last name of the released girl does not tally with the surname of the person bearing the first name of the released girl captured in our records and whose father is a carpenter in Chibok so we are still trying to work out every detail" he said.

Police rescued a day old baby buried alive.... arrests mother

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has rescued a one-day-old baby buried alive by the mother in a shallow grave in Afaha Abia Village of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Gabriel Achong, made this known on Thursday in Uyo while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command in the last two months. Achong said that the command had arrested the mother of the baby for attempted infanticide, adding that she was being investigated.
“Patience the mother of the baby on Sept. 14, 2014 did bury her one-day-old baby boy in a shallow grave. The baby was rescued alive,” Achong said. He further stated that "the mother is seriously ill and under treatment since her arrest"
The commissioner said that the suspect was among the 37 persons arrested by the command over various offences in August and September.
He said that members of the command’s Quick Response Squad (QRS) had within the period also rescued four children reportedly stolen.He said that the children had been reconciled with their parents.

IS crisis: 'More than 3,000' Europeans join IS

The number of Europeans joining Islamist fighters in Syria and Iraq has risen to more than 3,000, the EU's anti-terrorism chief has told the BBC.
Gilles de Kerchove also warned that Western air strikes would increase the risk of retaliatory attacks in Europe.
US-led forces have launched nearly 200 air strikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq since August and on Monday began targeting IS in Syria.
The UK parliament is due to vote on possible air strikes in Iraq on Friday.
IS has seized large parts of Iraq and Syria in recent months.
Mr de Kerchove said the number of 3,000 included all those who have been to the region, including those who have returned and those who have been killed there.
The CIA estimates that IS may have up to 31,000 fighters in Iraq and Syria - three times as many as previously feared.

Election 2015: Tony Tetuila Declares

Tony Tetuila, one of the pioneers of the entertainment industry has joind the league to declared his political intention to contest for the 2015 general election.

The “You don hit My Car” crooner who used to be part of music group The Remedies, is reportedly running for Kwara State House of Assembly seat.

With this declaration, Tony has now joined some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry who have also declared their ambition to run in the 2015 elections.

I guess this is a good development in Nigeria when the youths finally realise their roles.

2015: OSHIOMHOLE FOR PRESIDENT

A report gathered by DailyPost says that Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, has submitted a letter of intent to run for the 2015 presidential elections to the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, even as he intensifies consultations with stakeholders across the country, including former Presidents.

Report has it that his nationwide consultation meeting with APC governors and former presidents, opening of his campaign headquarters in Abuja and Edo State as well as the setting up of committees would be made public soonest.

It was gathered that the governor’s former governorship campaign office will serve as his presidential campaign office in Edo State. Should Oshiomhole pick the APC ticket, that would pitch him against President Jonathan, who also is from the South-South
